Sony announces SmartEyeglass transparent eyewear

Sony announced that it has its own Google Glass competitor in the works called SmartEyeglass. A software development kit for the gadget is already available to interested developers.

Sony SmartEyeglass packs a number of sensors that include CMOS image solution, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, microphone, and brightness sensor.

LG G3 billboard in Saudi Arabia sets a Guinness World Record

LG has decided to take its marketing game to the next level. So much so that it has set a new Guinnes World Record for the largest outdoor advertising structure ever.

The advertising campaign in question is for the LG G3 and the billboard the company has built is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is 240 meters wide and 12 meters high taking a total space of 3,000 square meters.

Apple iPhone 6 goes torn to bits by iFixit too

Intel touts wireless charging bowl for release this year

Intel’s wireless charging bowl is on track to be released by the end of the year with the company still tight-

lipped on how much the revolutionary device will end up costing.

CEO Brian Krzanich confirmed as much during a speech at MakerCon in New York when he said that the 

device will be “on the market right around the end of this year,” according to CNET.

Toshiba will drastically reduce its consumer PC business

The Japanese manufacturer Toshiba announced that it will drastically reduce its consumer PC business. The move will include withdrawal from certain markets altogether.

Increased focus on the business market is the main reason behind the tech giant’s move. Gong forward, the company will reduce its consumer sales bases from 32 to 13.

Did Samsung Photoshop out the Galaxy Alpha camera bump?

Apple got caught Photoshoping out a blemish on its new iPhone 6 – the pesky camera bump – but it’s not the only company that has taken some artistic liberties with promotional images. Samsung touched up theGalaxy Alpha in one of its images too.

Samsung 20nm 6Gb mobile DRAM enters mass production

Samsung announced earlier today it has began mass producing its latest 6Gb LPDDR3 mobile DRAM chips. They’re made using the 20nm manufacturing process and are designed with high performance smartphones and tablets in mind by achieving data transfer rates of up to 2,133Mbps.

iPhone 4S users facing performance issues with iOS 8 upgrade?

If you downloaded iOS 8 following its release yesterday, then you may have hit glitches with certain apps,
